Our people are the ones who live for experiences that transcend the ordinary, and our products are the ones that are intentionally designed and purposefully built to be beautifully functional for years to come. This is what we mean when we say Coal Headwear is crafted for adventure seekers. This page is dedicated to the always-adventurous Coal Family and the many ways in which they help to bring our passions to life on film and in real life.

Coal X Swift Industries

When illustrator Chris McNally invited us on a bike adventure in his Northern California backyard, we knew we were in for a treat. Starting and ending at his studio in SF’s Mission District, Chris led us on an epic 4-day tour of the Marin County landscapes and landmarks that have inspired his work, and also gave birth to mountain biking as we know it. We paused often to let our surroundings spark our own creativity, giving rise to an inspired collection of headwear and packs featuring art created along the way.

Coal X Tenkara Rod Co.

We became fast friends with the Tenkara Rod Co. guys on a bikepacking adventure in Idaho’s Sawtooth National Recreation
area this summer. We were fascinated by -- and jealous of -- their simple, compact fly fishing kits that were quickly brandished
every time we stopped near a lake or stream.

Coal Headwear and Lost Lands, classic Seattle brands focused on high quality, collaborated on a Made in America capsule collection. This small batch collection is inspired by spring road trips down the PNW coast. Designed with a nod to nautical influence and old school pennants, where heritage athletic meets vintage coastal vibe.

Dirt roads, rodeo grounds, gritty saloons, and weathered cowboys are chapters in the story that is the American West. Coal Headwear and Arcade used these as inspiration for a collaboration that pays homage to the west.
