As we start to see a change in the economy and an increasing number of humans getting dogs, Coal has decided to shift into a new business model of headwear for pets.  This decision has been made after many months of research and planning. First and foremost, we believe that animals, especially dogs truly embrace the lifestyle and culture of the Coal brand.  Our mission has always included crafting functional headwear for outdoor adventures and so shifting our focus to dogs was a seamless transition.  Secondly, we feel as though making headwear for animals will be a better cost and business option in the long run.  Not only are the models less expensive and smaller hats use less materials, which helps in our sustainability initiative; we've also seen human spending habits lean toward buying more for their pets vs. themselves. We appreciate every human that has and continues to support Coal.  We will always strive to make headwear more than an accessory no matter what species is wearing it.
